The azaleas barely breezed through blackberry winter this year with their heads intact.  But they did!  I'm so proud of them.  They're so pretty in pink.  I just love them.  When we lived in Bham, there was this little house around the corner from us where I would drive by the most gorgeous display every spring.  I was so envious.  This is the first time I've ever had my own baby pink blossoms beside my house.  So I feel especially blessed.

Have been feeling a bit sad after having said goodbye to my sister.  I hope it won't be so long before I see her again.  Actually we had met in Nashville the summer of '07.  She was there for a teacher's convention and I had just attended Pineyfest, so we spent a couple days visiting between the two events.  We got so carried away with laughing and crying over stories one day that we didn't even leave the room to eat until around 8:00 pm (fortunately she had brought lots of healthy snacks). She was staying at the Opryland Hotel.  What a pretty spot that was.

This time I got to show her around all the pretty spots here.  She liked Fort Tolousse as much as me I think.  We grilled asperagus and Boca burgers on the mini grill and then took a walk to the American Fort section of the park.  I'll post a picture of us in front of the Native American houses asap
